Statice
The Statice flower has around 120 different varieties and are native to the continents of Asia, Australia, Europe and Africa. Even though they are also known as the Sea Lavender and Marsh Rosemary, they are not related to either Lavenders or Rosemary flowers. That being said, the Sea Lavender is an Herbaceous Perennial and strangely enough prefers soils with a lot of saline concentrations. Hence they are found near the coastal areas and are given the name "Sea" Lavender. This type of flower is a very popular garden flower, and are known by gardeners to be everlasting flowers.Kingdom: Plantae Subkingdom: Tracheobionta Superdivision: Spermatophyta Division: Magnoliophyta Class: Magnoliopsida Subclass: Caryophyllidae Order: Plumbaginales Family: Plumbaginaceae Genus: Limonium Mill.
