Peony

The Peony has around 40 different varieties and are native to the continents of North America, Asia and Europe. Thankfully, most of these flowers are perennials, meaning they come back year after year without having to replant them. They are a very popular ornamental flower especially in the early Chinese Dynasties. There are still dozens of festivals in honor of this flower that are held on a yearly basis. This flower is also the Indiana State Flower. These flowers are grown as ornamental flowers not only for their beauty, but their highly fragrant flowers as well.
