Mountain Laurel
The Mountain Laurel flower is part of the blueberry family and it is native mainly to the Eastern parts of North America. This flower is also the Connecticut State Flower and the Pennsylvania State Flower. Found in rocky and mountainous areas, this flower prefers a soil with a pH of around 4.5 to 5.5. Be careful when planting this flower, as it is poisonous to local wildlife such as deer.
