Flannel Flower
The Flannel Flower is a common flower to the continent of Australia. Even though it looks like a daisy, it is far from the daisy family. Strangely enough, however, the Flannel Flower is actually related to the carrot! This flower loves to grow in sandstone heathland in the coastal areas of Australia, nearest to Queensland and Sydney. This flower can be reminded of a sort of rise from the ashes phoenix type of flower, as you can see the majority of flowers blooming after brush fires. Kingdom: Plantae Order: Apiales Family: Mackinlayaceae Genus: Actinotus Species: A. helianthi Click Here to go to Flannel Flower Home
