Flame Lily

The Flame Lily is a deciduous perennial and it adapts well to summer's dry season. This flower is quite a showy type of flower with pronounced petals. Ranging in the colors of yellow, orange, red & pinkish-red, they make for a beautiful site for the eyes. This plant is used in medicine in both Africa and India. One can actually say that the scientific name, Gloriosa, is self explanatory of just how beautiful and fascinatingly glorious this flower truly can be. This plant is also native to Australia and exist in the coastal forest and sand dune vegetation and foliage that is the nearest to Queensland and New South Wales.
