Eastern Redbud

The Eastern Redbud is a small tree that is native from North America to Canada. This tree, for a small tree, grows to around 30 feet tall and has twisted trunks and spreading branches. As you can see from the photo above, the flowers are rather flashy and showy dark pink in color. This tree first begins to show its flower cluster around the months of March through May and mature during the months of August through October. Other names this flower is known by is the Spicewood Tree. This flowering tree is a popular yard ornamental tree.
