Camellia
The Camellia flower is native to eastern and southern Asia and come in around 250 different varieties. This flower was named after Georg Joseph Kamel, a Jesuit botanist working in the Philippines. A common and even famous plant that is part of this family is the tea plant. The tea plant’s leaves are used in commercial tea production. These flowers are also used in ornamental floral arrangements and has around 3,000 different cultivators and hybrids, a lot of those plants having double flowers. The fruit of this flower is a dry capsule, containing as much as 8 seeds. This plant is a picky plant as far as in it will only grow in acidic soils exclusively.
