Bloodroot
The Bloodroot is a native flower of North America and is also known as the bloodwort, the red puccoon root, and the pauson. This flower blooms from the months of March through May and are found in moist to dry woods and thickets, with their favorite places being thickets, on flood plains, near shores and streams and on slopes. The deer like to feed on this flower in the Spring.
