Blazing Star

The Blazing Star is native to North America, Mexico and the Bahamas. These flowers are highly popular in Summer Bouquets and survive the winter by forming corms, thus making them a perennial as well. The Blazing Star is used as food by the larvae of Lepidoptera species. This type of flower is part of the Aster flower family, but maintains its difference by having disc florets instead of ray florets.
