Blackthorn

The Blackthorn is a large shrub or a small tree growing to around 5 meters tall. They are highly fruitful and harvested in the United Kingdom through the months of October and November—which is before the first frost of winter. Frequently confused with the cherry plum, this plant starts to flower sooner than its cherry plum cousin. Good ways to tell between the two plants are by flower color, shrub like habitat, fruit color, and branch length and width.
