Belladonna

The Belladonna Lily is a bulb plant and has its peak growth times in both the early spring and autumn in warm climate areas. This plant does not like frost nor does it like tropical weather because it requires a resting period between blooms. This flower species reproduces slowly and is widely popular in both urban and suburban areas. Ideal conditions for this flower are lower elevation and coastal areas in the West Coast. The reason for this is because these climates mimic their natural climate in their native South Africa. They last about 7 days when used in flower arrangements. Take special care when watering this plant as waterlogged soil can actually harm this plant. They usually bloom in late summer, so patience is a virtue here!
