American Persimmon

The American Persimmon is also known as the Common Persimmon as well as the Possumwood. This type of flower has been growing wild for centuries, and has both edible fruit and edible wood. After only six years this flower can start to produce fruit. This plant’s fruit was also commonly referred to in Ancient Greece as the Fruit of the Gods. Not only does it produce fruit, but this plant makes a perfect yard tree.
